The first weekend

pre build 2.jpg

This is an older ASA late model stock car that was converted to run road courses around 2014. Its a perimeter frame car, with symmetric frame rails, front clip, and suspension components since, you know, we’ll be turning both directions.

Thats a 418cid all aluminum LS engine in there…to bad its got a carburetor. Anyway first order of business will be to completely disassemble the car and go through all the components to ensure everything is at it should be.

Notice there are no rear bumper tubes or tubes needed to support the back half of the body. Unfortunately the car was wrecked its last time on track. Fortunately for me, its owner decided that was a good time to part with the car… Obviously some steel work will be needed in back.
